I'm bilingual, so I know the benefits of having knowledge in more than one language. Speaking to students in rural Vietnam made me realize that I want to share this skill with more people who don't have the privilege of being born into bilingualism. The students expressed to me that they wanted to learn English to broaden their horizons and future opportunities; so, I designed a plan for an organization that would help them do just that. I hand-crafted a 3-stage curriculum for beginner English speakers based on conversational English, and built a team with members that would not only teach lessons and tutor, but help generate goodwill in the community abroad by participating in service activities and partnering with other nonprofits. Project Possible is a dream come true for not only me, but my team members and the students involved.
